OPTIMETA – Strengthening the Open Access publishing system through open citations and spatiotemporal metadata

The BMBF project OPTIMETA aims to strengthen the Open Access publishing system by connecting open citations and spatiotemporal metadata from access journals with openly accessible data sources. For this purpose, we will extend Journal Systems (OJS) give it functionalities for collecting distributing developing two OJS plugins capturing citation networks articles' spatial temporal properties as machine-readable metadata. We ensure target group-orientated design of performing a comprehensive needs analysis key stakeholders: editors or operators OA researchers, authors readers articles. developments be designed tested in cooperation several independent publishers. Overall, supports attraction publication venues substantially improving discoverability visibility publications through enrichment interlinking article
